How long does a PRP facial last?

Unlike Botox and other treatments, the results of a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) facial injections last between 18 and 24 months.

How do PRP treatments work?

During a treatment session, we’ll numb your face using an FDA-approved derma roller. Then, we’ll draw a single syringe of blood from your arm and place it in a centrifuge. A centrifuge separates your blood plasma, which is then massaged into your facial skin. To make sure the PRP solution can penetrate your skin, we’ll make micropunctures in your skin using microneedling procedures. Once we’ve finished applying the PRP solution to your face, Dr. Riolo will apply a soothing balm to your face.

How long does it take to recover from a PRP treatment?

It can take between 4-6 weeks for you to fully recover from PRP facial treatments. During this time, you should avoid tanning beds, saunas, and other activity that heats your skin.
